A Little Something ~ #12

Today's {A Little Something} is in honor of Memorial Day
(which is why it's a day late - I was off enjoying the lake this weekend!)

I think these red striped dresses are so fun!  The red wedges are pretty cute too.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Alternative Bouquets

When thinking about wedding bouquets beautiful peonies, roses, hydrangeas, and more come to mind.  But the other day my friend Morgan shared some fabric bouquets with me (thanks Morgan for the inspiration!) and it got me thinking... Does a wedding bouquet really have to be made of flowers?

Check out these alternative options:

Fabric Bouquets

Button Bouquets

Paper Bouquets

Brooch Bouquets

Which alternative bouquet style do you like best?  I love the last one made out of antique gold brooches!

Tag It

This past week while traveling for work, I came to the realization that I desperately need a luggage tag to help identify my bag.  My black carry-on suitcase looks exactly like everyone elses and at 7am on a Monday the last thing I want to do is grab the wrong bag.

So after doing a little research I found some great options for a luggage tag.  These also would make for a fun wedding gift for a bride & groom to use as they start their journey together through life (awww cute pun, right?) and for their honeymoon.

I think these are so fun:

Or there's the monogrammed option:

Or a few options in leather:

Or how about a fancy option ~ Burberry luggage tags:

And here are a few fun options for a bride & groom:

Who else is ready to take off on a vacay for the summer (with a new luggage tag in hand)?

A Little Something ~ #11

With the warm temperatures and Summer right around the corner, I am dreaming of lazy days at the beach...

Today's {A Little Something} stems from those thoughts.

I just love this beach wedding reception.  The colors, the decor, the scenery... it looks magical!

Happy Monday!

India Trip!

So I know it's not exactly wedding related, but I wanted to share some photos from my trip to India with you guys.  It was such a great experience!  Hope you enjoy :)

The Taj Mahal!
Absolutely breathtaking.  Almost looks fake doesn't it?

Me at the Taj Mahal :)
I was about to pass out from the heat here.  Highs around 110-115!

All the modes of transportation were so interesting!  They're very resourceful.

So there you have, a brief summary of my time in India.  Such an interesting culture and experience!  Would make for quite the honeymoon location (had to relate it back to weddings some how!)

Happy Wednesday!

A Little Something ~ #10

Whew, this week has already been crazy with getting back from India and adjusting to normal life.  I even forgot to post {A Little Something} yesterday!

So (a day late) check out these neutral Louboutins.  I think they are just so gorgeous!

Now, to figure out a way to expand my income so I can afford these!

Today's {A Little Something} is inspired by the fact that I'm in India!

I think the henna and Indian jewelry is just so pretty!

Everlasting Love ♥

"True love is unconditional and everlasting, it is established over time and validated with memories of the past."

There is just something about black & white photos that can make a moment seem more memorable and everlasting.  Plus everyone looks better in black & white :)

Happy Friday ~ I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend full of lots of LOVE!

¡Vamos a celebrar!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I hope everyone is off to enjoy some margaritas, queso, guacamole and tacos in celebration of Cinco de Mayo!  I will be in Houston getting my visa for India  (because of course there is no Indian Consulate in Atlanta... it's never easy) but plan to enjoy some Mexican food.  I hear Texas has some of the best!

And in light of today's holiday & celebration and seeing as this is a wedding blog, here's a Mexican inspired wedding board.  I think all these bright colors would make for such a beautiful wedding!

How are you celebrating Cinco de Mayo?

India & Some Inspiration

Last week, I got some interesting news at work (for the corporate job I unfortunately still have...)  I found out that I am going to India!!  Oh and I leave this Friday... talk about last minute planning.  They barely gave me time to go shopping for some new India appropriate garb.

I've never been to India and am beyond excited / slightly nervous about going.  I think it is going to be a great experience working there for a week and getting to be immersed in that culture.  The one thing I'm not looking forward to?  The 110 degree weather... that should be interesting.  If you have any tips for me to stay cool, please do share!

While I will be there for work with very little free time, we are planning a trip to the Taj Mahal one day.  By doing a quick search online of the famous palace, I am absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity!  I can tell it's going to be one of the most beautiful place I've ever been and can't wait to share lots of pictures with you all.

 Seriously, how amazing is this??

All this research about India gave way to some wedding inspiration which is where my mind always tends to wander after all! (If only I could do the wedding planning full time - someday, someday... that is the plan)

How beautiful would this wedding be?  I love all of the bright colors and ornate decor.  And the reception is stunning!
No Indian wedding is complete without an elephant!

Have you ever been to India?  Please share your stories & tips with me!

बुधवार खुश!

The Royal Hats -

"Fashion is a kind of communication. It's a language without words. A great hat speaks for itself."

British weddings have many traditions which the Royal Wedding followed. (i.e. A 'wedding breakfast' reception, the bridesmaids wearing white, Hen & Stag nights, bridesmaids are young, etc.)  And one English tradition that everyone observed was the over-the-top hats.

Ladies came out with hats in all shapes, sizes, colors and even some of the men followed suit.

What did you think of all of the hats?

The Queen in a bright yellow hat.  I think she was one of my favorites!

Carol Middleton - The Mother of the Bride

The Duchess of Cornwall aka Prince Charles' Wife looked lovely

Princess Anne - Prince Charles' younger sister matched her purple hat to her floral jacket.  A little much for my taste...

Princess Michael of Kent - I love this one!  Simple but still makes a statement.

Princess Letizia of Spain
I think this one is a too matronly and really ages her.

Chelsy Davy aka Prince Harry's gal.
I was disappointed in her choice... it was a little too understated.

Miriam Gonzalez
Love how fun & bright this one is!

Zara Phillips looking very sophisticated

Sophie, Countess of Wessex
This hat makes me wish we wore hats to weddings in the US so I could rock something like this!

And last, but not least, two of the most talked about hats from the Royal Wedding....
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice
They're certainly my least favorites, but definitely memorable!
