A 1950's Style Elopement

Elopements are usually associate with a couple getting married without their family's consent.  But, it doesn't always have to be such a scandalous reason...

Perhaps the couple wants a private, no frills ceremony with just the two of them or maybe they don't have the extra cash to splurge on a wedding.  No matter the reason, it does not mean the couple can't dress up and have a little fun (think Carrie & Big in the Sex & the City movie).  You don't have to have the big wedding and fancy reception to dress up.  It's your day, have fun and do what makes you happy!

And that's just what Julie & Geoff did with their Asheville elopement.  They decide to elope (with two good friends in tow) dressed to the nines in 50's style garb.  It was a super sweet and elegant affair!

Cheers!

Congratulations to Julie & Geoff!

  1. Aw, I always love seeing elopements! My husband and I actually drove up to San Francisco alone together and got married at city hall. We later had a big wedding down in Mexico, and no one knew that we were already legally married, but we still have that special memory...just the two of us :)

  2. Such a neat way to be married. Sometimes I wish I had done it this way and avoided all the insanity. Love the vintage photography!
